Can’t believe these guys are going to be a family of 5 in a few short months! Oh man, being a big sister to twins is going to rock little Phebe’s (isn’t she just the cutest!) world…but I’ve seen her with my Lyla and she is just going to be the best big sister to those two.
So 2011 has been a wild year over here at Whimsy & Style! I’m so glad to have been able to meet you all and can’t wait to see you again in 2012…but until then, here are some of my favorite photos of 2011–I’m going to try and post them in the order I took them so you can see how far I’ve progressed over the past 6 months

Most of you know that I’m a huge, geeky nerdThus, I have an extra special place in my heart for books. Some of you may also know that, being a mommy with too few of them myself, I have a special place in my heart for Mommy & me photos. So I was thrilled to hear that this week’s I Heart Faces theme was books! And I had the perfect Mommy & me book photo for it–here it is!

I’m guilty–I’ve been a bad, bad blogger lately
In fact, I haven’t blogged since *gasp!* October…and a whole heck of a lot has happened since then! I’ve learned so much and photographed so many families who haven’t received any blogging loveRest assured, it is not because I don’t love you all–because I definitely do! You guys are the “bestest” clients a girl could ask for! But in all the hustle and bustle of getting everyone’s photos out, there just hasn’t been time for blogging.
But rest assured, I will be posting some blog love for ALL of you soon! I’m currently milling through every single session in 2011 to pick out my favorite from each session…
But until then, I leave you with the Drum family–a great family to wrap up 2011 with since they are only together an average of 10 days a year…half their family does missionary work in Peru for most of the year, while the two oldest stay here in the States–which is why it was so very important to squeeze this session in and capture some of those happy togetherness feelings before they went a “leaving on a jet plane” so to speak. I have to admit that I felt a tad guilty about stealing an hour and a half of their ten days together…but I’m sure these photos will be getting mom through while she’s half a world away from her sons.
