]]> Time to share a newborn session…because the last time I blogged a full newborn session was way back in–err–November of last year and I’ve realized that you guys get the short end of the deal when you only get to see one or two photos from a newborn session…they’re so, so much more than just a handful of great photos–it’s a combination of so much love and so many memories and details that combine to create a story of how precious and little these little babes are, how they completely change our lives, and how much we love and adore them.

His big brother is one of my little girly’s favorite little playmates…and I’m sure mini-brother here will be too…oh yes, he did fight the snoozes…but once he was out, he was out for good and he is such an adorable little guy I could have done *anything* with him!

I usually try to narrow it down to 4 favorites…but it just wasn’t possible here!

]]> Awwww….little Miss A is just so totally adorable I wanted to squish her all day :) We did have a few weather issues–Miss A and her mommy came all the way in to see me first thing in the morning and the sun just did not want to come out to play :( It was far too gloomy for such a bright eyed kiddo…so we waited…and finally got just enough sun to crank ‘er out :)

And a little something different a pull back of the set up to get my “studio” shots above. Nothing uber-fancy or anything–backdrop wise just some good old chevron tacked to the wall (there are more “proper” ways of using backdrops–backdrop rollers, etc but I don’t use them often enough to justify investing in some fancy backdrop roller system).

No big lights or strobes required as long as the day is decently bright–lighting wise we’ve got a big window to the left, and a ginormous reflector to the right for some fill light so the right side of Miss A’s face didn’t get too shadowy. This setup works best if the babe is angled slightly toward the window (e.g., at about a 45 degree angle with the window) and you have mom over your left shoulder so baby looks towards the window as much as possible to get those great crisp catchlights in the eyes.

Throw down some pillows and a big fluffy comforter and *voila!* a faux bed for a babe to snuggle in :)
